2 years is a long time.

Well - over the past 2 years I have: Applied and been accepted to college, Graduated from college, Been forced to quit a job, Been hired for a more prestigious job, Taken part in planning and carrying out a 21 day wilderness expedition, Kayaked a bunch, Had countless swims while Kayaking, Started dating the most amazing woman on earth, Made countless friends, Lost track of countless others, Taught a college level class, been on a motor boat for the first time, been dragged through the water attempting to wake-board, and many other various things. I just remembered that I had this blog. Weird.

.

An amazing weekend followed by the doldrums of life. C'est la vis.
While I am in a melancholy mood for some reason, I have had a spike in my creativity once again - writing abounds as do drawings. I suppose there is a good side of everything. As I left to come home I hugged one of my best friends and told her that I really didn't want to leave - she just told me that the time away will make the next time we see each other more meaningful. I hate optimistic answers but man - she hit the nail on the head - "abscence makes the heart grow fonder" seems to ring true more and more in my life.

I am looking forward to posting some of my writings again soon; since I shut down my other blog, I haven't posted any (or written for that matter). The muse returns - I hope it's in a pleasant mood rather than the droll depressing one it usually seems to be in.

A political rant will be up tomorrow. (not that anyone even reads this anymore)

It's been a day or two since I last posted I guess. Life is ok I suppose - never take a semester off when work is slow and you have nothing else to do though - you will be horribly bored. There - done with that. Now onto a few other subjects.
Friends - the past few years I've been blessed by having friendships grow and form. It is amazing to know that there are at least a few people who care about how life is going and are there through both good and bad times.
Work - I hate my job - landscaping for a boss who doesn't care about job performance is a real drag. Most of the time I work to do a good job rather than simply to get a paycheck, but it's been very tough with this job - I'll hang on though - only a few months left.
Camp - I am the Co-director of the out of camp high adventure program this summer - and am quite happy with this position - I sent in my contract today.
Politics - the primaries are over for my state now... FINALLY. No more political ads filling the TV and the mailbox until May or so hopefully. My preferred candidate lost our primary but oh well - what's going to happen - is going to happen. (it's prolly rigged somehow anyway)

I think that's all for today. I'll get on and type a rant soon hopefully.

What does it mean when a comedian/pundit can get over a million people to support him in a presidential election? People are desperate for anything other than the same old garbage that goes on in politics.

As far as politics goes - the only people I've seen who I'm mildly interested in are Mike Huckabee and Stephen Colbert - and the latter is for entertainment purposes only right now.

All I seem to do is work, scouts and class. I need a break.

Camp is camp - 6 weeks and counting.
I count several thousand dollars per night and keep a group of 16 year olds working to clean the trading post.

I'm tired and miss one of my friends who left for Europe yesterday. She'll be back in 4 weeks.

Just figured I'd update a bit.
latah.
